A beautiful chapel in rural Johnson County, Cahill is quickly becoming a popular option for couples in the DFW Metroplex. Located off CR 917, Cahill Methodist Church is a charming, quaint small town chapel with bells and bell tower. With its dark wooden church pews, stunning stained glass windows and lovely center aisle it is perfect for wedding ceremonies.

Cahill Methodist Church is now over 125 years old and was designated a 100 year old historical site by the Texas Historical Commission in 1993. History shows that Nancy and Aquilla Cahill came to Texas in 1859. A community quickly grew up around their farm and became known as Cahill. In 1893 land for a Methodist church and cemetery was deeded by Sarah Snodgrass in memory of her father, Aquilla Cahill. The sanctuary was built by church members and the congregation was then served by circuit riding ministers.
